Generate a project

Choose a name, hosting option, and the features your app needs.

Updated October 12, 2026.

Create your project

Create an account and verify your email, or sign in to an existing account. Creating and downloading projects requires lifetime access: $999 once for unlimited projects, or an active site administrator role. Complete your purchase on Billing, then open your dashboard and choose New project.

  1. Enter a Name for your app. This replaces ShipRust in the generated project, including page titles and the README.
  2. Choose a Slug, or leave it blank to derive one from the name. Use lowercase letters, digits, and dashes, starting with a letter. The slug becomes the Cargo package, binary, and download folder name.
  3. Add an optional Description for your own reference.
  4. Choose Hosting. None gives you the Dockerfile to connect to your own deployment setup. CapRover also adds a GitHub Actions deployment workflow.
  5. Set the Blog and Docs switches. Both start on, and you can turn either off independently.
  6. Set Include accounts. It starts on and adds sign-up with email verification, sign-in, passkeys, two-factor, account settings, a dashboard and an admin panel. Turn it off for a public site without accounts: the Setup API, MCP server, file storage, Qdrant and Stripe all act for signed-in users, so they are left out with it.
  7. Set Setup API to give your users a way to interact with your platform through an API. It starts on and adds personal API keys, bearer authentication and starter endpoints to build on.
  8. Set Include an MCP server. It starts on and lets coding agents call your app as tools over the Model Context Protocol, authenticated with the same API keys. It needs the Setup API, so turn both off together.
  9. Set Include file storage. It starts on and lets your users upload files to Cloudflare R2, AWS S3 or any S3-compatible bucket once you add the bucket's settings, with local disk until then. A profile picture upload in Account settings ships as the example.
  10. Enable Vector search with Qdrant if your product needs a vector database. It starts off and adds a Qdrant client scoped to each user, collection setup at startup, and a cleanup job for deleted accounts. You bring your own embedding model and Qdrant server after downloading.
  11. Enable Use Stripe if you want hosted Checkout for subscriptions and one-time payments. It starts off; add your own Stripe settings after downloading.
  12. Set Use Sentry. It starts on with all five capabilities selected. Uncheck any you do not need, or turn Sentry off.
  13. Set Use PostHog. It starts on with all five capabilities selected; uncheck any you do not need, or turn PostHog off.
  14. Select Create project. Your project page shows your saved choices and the download button.

Explore the available features

Each option has its own setup guide:

  • Blog: Markdown articles and an RSS feed.
  • Docs: documentation for your product.
  • File storage: user uploads to Cloudflare R2, AWS S3 or any S3-compatible bucket, or local disk; the generated project's docs/file-storage page explains the settings.
  • Stripe: hosted Checkout, subscriptions, one-time payments, billing portal, and webhooks.
  • Qdrant: vector search scoped per user, with your own embeddings.
  • Sentry: errors, performance, logs, and masked replay.
  • PostHog: analytics, product events, errors, logs, and traces.

For hosting, follow Docker hosting when choosing None, or the CapRover guide for its generated deployment workflow.

You can change the enabled Cargo features in your downloaded codebase later. Provider credentials belong in your app's environment; the generator does not ask for them.
