How it works

Three ways to get a ShipRust project, each recorded for real. Every one ends the same way: your renamed codebase, running on your machine.

1. On the website

From name to download in 27 seconds, real time.

  1. Create an account and unlock lifetime access.
  2. Choose New project. Name it, then pick hosting, a blog, docs, Stripe, the API, MCP, file storage, Qdrant, Sentry and PostHog.
  3. Download the zip and run it:
unzip atlas.zip && cd atlas
docker compose up -d
cp .env.example .env
SQLX_OFFLINE=true cargo run   # http://localhost:3000

2. With your AI agent

Claude Code over MCP: running locally in 1 min 26 s. Shown at 2× speed.

  1. On your dashboard, select Copy setup prompt and paste it into your agent. It includes an API key and works with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and other agents; see the setup guide.
  2. Ask for a product. This is the prompt from the recording:
Start a new product called Pilot with ShipRust. Download it, get it running locally, and keep your final summary short. Never print my API key.

The agent calls the create_project tool, downloads the zip with your key from the environment, and follows the project's own README and AGENTS.md from there.

3. From the terminal

One API call, a download, and it runs. First build shown 8× faster.

The same JSON API your agent uses, with curl:

curl -s https://shiprust.com/api/v1/projects \
    -H "Authorization: Bearer $SHIPRUST_API_KEY" \
    -d '{"name": "Nova", "host": "caprover"}' > project.json

curl -sL -o nova.zip -H "Authorization: Bearer $SHIPRUST_API_KEY" \
    "https://shiprust.com$(jq -r .download_url project.json)"

unzip -q nova.zip && cd nova
docker compose up -d --wait
cp .env.example .env
SQLX_OFFLINE=true cargo run
